Raymonds Restaurant - Is A popular and well run eatery in the center of town. Raymonds has a nice variety of popular gourmet dishes which range from burgers, broiled and garnished tasty chicken and meat dishes.

It has a few vegetarian dishes as well. Great dishes to try are the delicious Shrimp & Grits (it also has sausage in it), Mac and Cheese with breadcrumbs, and the free range chicken dishes. Fish is good at Raymonds too but tend to be smaller portions.

Brunch at Raymond's is a real treat. Especially the French Toast made with French Bread and the various forms of Pancakes are also outstanding. This makes Raymond's very busy.

Raymond's has great drinks both hot and cold as well like the Hot Spicy Mexican Hot Chocolate, Cafe Mocha, and a cold Pomegranate Lemonade. Although Raymond's is noisy for an affordable family meal we have to give it 5 stars. Raymond's, 28 Church Street, Montclair, NJ 07044 (973) 744-9263

Toast Restaurant - A newer addition to the brunch restaurants in Montclair. It offers a wide variety of delicious brunch entrees. The dishes tend to be very affordable in the $10 to $12 range. Sometimes a good meal with cost you less.

Brunch has very sweet and well presented brunch meals but Toast can cook healthy too. A great dish is the gluten free pancakes which can be ordered with Agave Syrup as a special request. This is a way to have a brunch without all the sugar spike associated with pancakes or French Toast. I had this healthy meal for less than $8 - what a steal! Gelato Giuliana Gelateria and Cafe, is a great place to get Gelato and yogurt especially during hot months. It is a especially delicious gourmet treat.

It has some great exotic flavors and many have plenty of natural fruit and spices. The design of the shop is clean and trendy and you can eat usually inside or outside if it isn't too busy, while you enjoy this dessert treat.

Mexicali Rose, is a great Spanish food restaurant in the center of town on Park Street. It has great poultry, rice, and meat dishes. The desserts are also good.

Tee Time - A new addition to the well regarded Thai Chef Restaurant. Tee Time Restaurant has a golf theme for brunch. The service is good and I love the golf inspired atmosphere.

The dishes are gourmet but take perhaps a little longer than we would have liked. It's nice to have the fabulous Thai iced teas which are so dreamy and creamy but may be a little too sweet with french toast or pancakes.

I found the dining to be very good overall. And if you want to take a date to brunch in a quiet setting you may opt for the quiet ambience of Tee Time. The Wood Pit: This Restaurant offers savory smoked barbeque in it's unassuming ambiance reminiscence of a southern no frills smoke house. The pleasant smoky aroma of good food is almost worth the price of admission.

You wait with heightened anticipation and imagination as your meal is prepared in the wood pit giving it an exquisite flavor. This soul food restaurant has all the traditional southern foods and side orders. It does not disappoint! The meals are delicious and it has great southern desserts as well. Villa Victoria Pizzeria, is essentially a take out restaurant. There's no where to sit down and enjoy your meal. But what a meal to take home.

This amazing Italian Restaurant is not to be missed or ignored. It reminds us for the great Italian restaurants in Brooklyn or Little Italy.

The serving sizes are rich and bountiful. This is really good Italian take out food. Too bad it doesn't expand to a restaurant that seats people it would do amazing! If you're really hungry and looking for some great Italian dishes call Villa Victoria Pizzeria. You won't be disappointed.
