These dishes are seasoned to perfection and mildly spicy. Many of their dishes are so good a health minded person will forget a meat or chicken palette. This restaurant is highly regarded because of its great raw juices, the staple of its business as the name suggests, and it also makes great smoothies.

Petit Paris – a nice new dessert shop and eatery on Church Street in Restaurant Row is anything other than small on flavor. The quaint shop is very clean, well lit, and attractive like a trendy Paris Café.
Its displays contain a stunning array of sumptuous chocolates from Paris. These chocolates are rich, and many explode with exotic flavors that will satisfy the taste buds of even the most discriminating chocolate lover.

Rising like the Phoenix, in the old location of 32 Restaurant is Cafe Amici! Cafe Amici, is a part of a family of restaurants in the New York and New Jersey area.
Obviously many people in our town are anxious to know if this new highly visible restaurant “has what it takes” to be a mainstay eatery. Well we must report Cafe Amici, is an excellent addition to Montclair’s finer restaurants.
Cafe Amici, owned by entrepreneurs Albert and Carmine, get you in the mood for fine dining first with a classy but contemporary décor. The service is inviting and the meal presentation is superb.
The entree was tender, tasty, and mouth watering. The Restaurant's owner Albert, also gingerly meets his guests and patrons. The dessert, was eye catching and was also an extremely delightful indulgence taste wise. We have to give Cafe Amici our highest 5 Star Review. Coffee and Dessert Experience
If you would like to experience a really cozy and trendy cafe to enjoy a good cup of coffee, delicious desserts, and a light meal checkout Trend Coffee & Tea House. It is located in the Heart of Montclair Center at 411 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair, NJ 07042. It is across the street from where Cafe Eclectic used to be.
Trend has a great selection of gourmet coffees with classic brews like French vanilla, Hazelnut, and Irish Cream, or you can order great herbal teas or chai as well.
We love the desserts at Trend. The cupcakes are less expensive than other gourmet dessert places around town and are soft, rich, and delightful.
They also serve up healthy desserts like gluten-free and vegan cupcakes. They make outstanding apple pies, brownies, and ice cream sundaes.
Trend also offers light meals like Panini, Wraps, Quiche, and Salad dishes. Our favorite is the Trend Salad, featuring baby greens, romaine, dried cherries, fresh pears, fresh green apples, gorgonzola & glazed walnut topped with balsamic vinaigrette. This is a large favorable salad exploding with exotic favors and tastes.
Another favorite is the Caprese on Ciabatta, a tasty panini with grilled chicken, fresh mozzerella, tomato & basil. This is a hearty meal that should satisfy a really hungry appetite.
Owner Eliott and his staff at Trend are also very friendly and give excellent service. This Coffee and Tea house recently expanded.
The cafe is bright and embellished with a artsy and plush decor (see below). You can have great coffee and also surf the web using their free wi-fi service if you bring your laptop.
The cafe styled eatery is also showcasing community events (see video of their 1st Open Mic Night event and restaurant pics below article). Trend Coffee and Tea House is a cool place you definitely want to visit in the heart of Montclair Center.

If you’re looking for exotic cuisine, Marrakech is the place to go. It is a warm, cozy restaurant in the heart of Montclair that serves delicious Moroccan food in an intimate setting.
It’s perfect for a night out with friends or even a romantic date. As soon as you enter, you are greeted with the pleasing aromas of saffron and Moroccan spices.
Most entrees are reasonably priced under $20. One of the most popular dishes is the Tangined’Agneau, which is marinated lamb topped with prunes, almonds, sesame seeds, and a side of couscous.
There are also many dishes for seafood and poultry lovers too.
Although this restaurant has a great atmosphere, it gets 3 stars for service and food. If you are interested in trying something different, try Marrakech located at 708 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair 07042.
Smash Burger Crushes Our Idea of
the Burger in Montclair
On the Montclair and Glenridge, New Jersey, Border there is a strip mall becoming popular. It houses some mainstay national, statewide, and local businesses like Panera Bread and PNC Bank. This is also the home of Montclair’s location of Smash Burger.
Smash burger is a national chain with 100 locations and looking to double the locations in 2012. It gets the name Smash Burger for the technique it uses of smashing a rolled ball of Angus beef into a grill to - lock in the flavor of the meat.
Smash Burger, purports to customize its menu and food a bit for each unique location. This is interesting in that the Montclair location sports a lot of Southern California types of condiments.
I thought Smash Burger was a San Diego outgrowth with all the Mexican type garnishes. But it is actually reported to be an outgrowth of Colorado.
Montclair’s Smash Burger has a unique take on American diet staples like the burger and grilled chicken sandwich. Their culinary distinction is a nuance and takeoff from classic American diet staples like the burger and grilled chicken sandwich again in a Southwestern type of way.
I tried the grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and Häagen-Dazs shake. The Chicken Sandwich was messy but seasoned in a tasty way. It was pretty tender with a decent smoked grilled flavor.
The sauces and shakes were flavorful too. The Häagen-Dazs Shake had a nice malt flavor.
This shake was a nice addition to the meal in that there aren’t too many places that feature malted shakes in Montclair. Elevator Burger, is the only other establishment that features malts that come to mind in our town.
If you like burgers, grilled chicken, and classic malted shakes with the Häagen-Dazs taste, Smash Burger offers like the English say "a Smashing" experience. It certainly is worth a visit. Smash Burger is located at 989 Bloomfield Ave.
