HLS Restaurant - we’re glad HLS Restaurant is back in Montclair, New Jersey. HLS stands for: Heart, Love, & Soul Restaurant.

This restaurant was once located in the Southend of Montclair, and made quite a splash in that part of town. We understand there were some issues with their former building, according to their website, and this healthy eatery moved to Maplewood, New Jersey.

They became very successful in Maplewood and now return full circle opening a 2nd restaurant in the center of our town in Montclair, New Jersey. This establishment prepares healthy, vegetarian, and even some vegan dishes with fastidious aplomb with appealing garnishes creating a nice presentation.

The staff is generally gregarious which is reflective of Owner Emeka Onugha. The ambience is African & Eastern inspired with an earthy type of appeal.  HLS is very good preparing brown rich dishes with high protein fish diet staples like salmon and tilapia.

I tried both fish dishes grilled with skill on two different days and both were very tasty. This establishment also has great meal replacement dishes like barbequed soy dishes as well.

Southend Pizzeria Pushes the Bounderies with Healthy Gourmet Pizza and
Italian Food.

The Southend of Montclair boasts a hidden treasure in Southend Pizzeria. This takeout eatery really expands upon traditional Italian food associated with a Pizzeria.

The Pizzeria takes the concept of Pizza to another level deserving to be described with adjectives like gourmet, healthy, and it tastes damn good! When I heard of the concept of gourmet pizza made with whole wheat I was a little skeptical.

OK a lot skeptical, since few Jersey Pizzerias in my opinion match the New York Italian restaurants. But I was blown away with the delicious Pizza creations like Barbeque Chicken Pizza, Veggie Lovers Pizza, Chicken Delight (my favorite), and Buffalo Chicken Pizza.

Chris Morales, the owner and Chief Chef pushes the envelope with his creative culinary skills and seals the taste bud deal. He is also very talented dishing up other meals like great buffalo chicken and Penne Vodka dishes. Southend Pizzeria is mostly take out. But ordering from this unassuming eatery is really a treat. We also loved their fruit and protein smoothies as powerful energy pick-ups. They also have tasty vegan desserts as well.

We think once the word gets out about this restaurant it will become one of the most popular in Montclair.  Montclair needs a health focused restaurant in the center of town. HLS gets 5 Stars. Leela's Trinidad Cuisine

Leela’s Trinidad Cuisine – Montclair is known for its diversity in great ethnic restaurants. One welcome addition to our outstanding global restaurants is Leela’s.

This establishment gives you a slice of Caribbean ethnic life. The Caribbean culinary art delight spot is as visually pleasing to the eye as its food is spicy and delicious.

I felt like I was on one of the islands for an hour listening to great Trini music as I sipped a delicious banana smoothy (yum one of the best I’ve tasted in Montclair). Quite frankly Leela’s should be the Go To Caribbean restaurant spot for Montclair and other parts of Northern Jersey.

Leela's has an attractive ambiance that Made Me Feel Like I was in the Caribbean for an hour.

This eatery reminds me of the down home Caribbean cooking I’d experience in Brooklyn at the West Indian Parade or downtown restaurants. I tried a Caribbean and Trinidadian staple Curried Chicken.

It was spicy, tender, and tasty. The fried plaintain was sweet and ripe.

The veggies at Leela’s was cooked very well as well. For dessert I had a delicious Red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and filling.

Service at Leela’s was extremely good and also the restaurant was clean and attractive. You have to take the time and experience the great food at Leela’s. I plan to go back many more times. Leela's Trinidad Cuisine, 180 Bloomfield, Montclair, NJ 07042.

Villa Victoria Pizzeria, is essentially a take out restaurant. There's no where to sit down and enjoy your meal. But what a meal to take home.

This amazing Italian Restaurant is not to be missed or ignored. It reminds us for the great Italian restaurants in Brooklyn or Little Italy.

The serving sizes are rich and bountiful. This is really good Italian take out food. Too bad it doesn't expand to a restaurant that seats people it would do amazing! If you're really hungry and looking for some great Italian dishes call Villa Victoria Pizzeria. You won't be disappointed.
